Katika mifumo ya mawasiliano, ili kuwezesha uwasilishaji wa mawimbi na kufikia utumiaji tena wa chaneli, mzunguko wa mawimbi yanayopitishwa ni wa juu sana, hivyo ubadilishaji wa mawimbi ya ishara ni kipengele muhimu cha utafiti wa mfumo wa mawasiliano. 3. Mawasiliano ya Satelaiti: LNB hutumika sana katika mifumo mbalimbali ya mawasiliano ya satelaiti, zikiwemo simu za satelaiti, matangazo ya satelaiti, upitishaji wa data za satelaiti n.k. Zinasaidia kupokea na kuchakata aina mbalimbali za mawimbi ya mawasiliano yanayopitishwa kutoka kwa satelaiti.
4. Uchunguzi wa Dunia na Kuhisi kwa Mbali: Katika baadhi ya programu za uchunguzi wa Dunia na kutambua kwa mbali, LNB hutumiwa kupokea data ya kutambua kwa mbali inayopitishwa kutoka kwa satelaiti. Data hizi zinaweza kutumika katika ufuatiliaji wa hali ya hewa, ufuatiliaji wa mazingira, onyo la maafa na nyanja zingine.
Kwa muhtasari, LNB zina jukumu muhimu katika mifumo ya kisasa ya mawasiliano ya satelaiti na hutumiwa sana katika utangazaji wa televisheni, ufikiaji wa mtandao, mawasiliano ya data na nyanja mbalimbali za kitaaluma.
